Why should I develop everything from scratch if I already have unlocked lines for additional characters? What is the logic behind this?

Yeah I also second this I was shocked to find out that I have mastery unlocked on all toons for all classes and was under the impression they would automatically be levelled to 50? What we gotta grind each line again?

Honestly blew my mind when I logged in this morning to find that despite having 7 fully leveled characters (one of each class), I am now being required to go and level up every single skill line, ability, and morph a second time.

What exactly is the reasoning for this? I genuinely would love to hear a single logical argument as to why anybody thought it'd be fun or engaging to require players to grind every class ability in the game a second time.

I just found a subclassing set up problem, when I used the Armory. I had chosen Arcanist, but hadn't chosen the specific skill line yet. I went into the Armory to do something else, and it reset to the old Templar class skill line, probably because I had one skill set up in the healing class. I suspect that we need to save our current setup with the new skill line before we make any other changes.

Hi @Rick_S1! Thanks for the post. We wanted to confirm that this is working as intended. You do need to save your setup in the Armory to make any changes, otherwise if you leave before doing so, it will remain on your last saved info.

So I was having an issue with none of my skills showing up. I disabled the spent skill points addon and it works fine now. I am attaching a picture of what I was getting. So if this is an issue check and see if you are running that addon and disable it. o51ye93reuk9.png

I find it strange you have a forum account but didn't read a single post detailing this over the least 4 - 5 weeks. It's been known for quite some time that is exactly how it was going to work....

Yes. Same with or without add-ons. And same with log out and log in.

    What issue are you seeing?
Subclass unlock quest can't be completed. Subclass 0/3 despite two active replacements.

What activity is the issue occurring in?
    PvE

Four or five characters have completed the quest with Add-ons enabled. They have new sub classes and can select them in the K skill menu.

With the two sorcerers the problem started:
I assign one or two sub classes and replace one or two of my class lines.
I assign skill points to skills and they are placed on my bar.
After I confirm the selection the quest giver only offers to 'select something else for 1500 Gold'.
If I select that the upper right corner keeps saying 'Subclass 0/3' no matter how often I change the sub classes.
If I select something else, confirm, pay and repeat nothing changes.

The sub class skills can be used despite subclass 0/3.
I can't access the K skill menu for subclassing. It is still red and says You have to complete the quest.

(With the first sorcerer I assigned wild stuff I didn't want until the quest giver offered to complete the quest. This didn/;t work for the second sorcerer.)

Having the EXACT same issues on both EU and NA servers. 13 characters each and have dumped too much gold to keep track of trying to find a fix.

Also to add it is on all different classes the same random not be able to complete quest and endless loop of throwing gold into the pit looking for a fix.

    @ZOS_JessicaFolsom
Thank you, I have been doing more testing:
I used the PTS to test the EU account as I had only used the NA before the PTS switch.
I did all characters (13) in a different order and locations as randomly as I could. They all completed the quest on the first try without any problems.
On live EU and NA only 6 of 13 could complete the quest.
Relogs, restarts, locations, clicking vs "e" button and reading everything...stuck
At this point I'll just wait until the quest is able to be abandoned (bug fix) and give it a go again.. unless of course the problem is found.

Edit: to add all the incomplete quest characters are able to use and advance skills in the selected class lines chosen.

    Thank you, @Goodrods!

For everyone, we have identified the issue causing this and are working on a fix. The easiest way to avoid this issue is:
    • Log into all your characters once before starting the Subclassing quest on your account.
    • Pick up and finish the Subclassing quest on one character at a time. Complete the quest before picking it up on another character.
This issue will not prevent you from unlocking and gaining access to Subclassing on your characters. The quest will just get "stuck" and won't be able to be completed in your quest log until we push the fix.

Thanks for your patience while we work on the fix.

So I picked up two subclasses that I'm leveling and realized the one original class skill that I kept wasn't a good fit. Is there anyway to change that class skill to a different one? For example, I'm DK with a NB and Templar skill. I kept Draconic Power but want to try Ardent Flame with my new subclasses instead. Is there any way to do that or do I have to max level one of the subclasses and then remove it, add a DK power back, then remove the DK power I didn't want and then add the subclass back. That sounds like a pain if that's what I have to do.
