Why is Hermaeus Mora insecure?
Examples of Hermaeus Mora displaying insecurity:
- Maintains the facade that he knows all, but confides in secret to fate's chosen that some things he does not know with certainty (i.e. everything regarding Ithelia)
- Takes action that violate his values causing him to feel negative emotions (i.e. because he made himself forget knowledge of Ithelia, he expresses discomfort when he does not know for why daedric princes and cultists plan to assault Apocrypha)
- Relies on mortals to keep secret knowledge, as they can never know too much without becoming "hushed", which protects his knowledge from enemies, eliminating uncertainty in the threat they pose.
- Sees Ithelia, likely also Jyggalag, as threats because he cannot know enough about reality to be certain about the actions they will take because Ithelia can alter reality at will and Mora would face a contradiction/paradox knowing both that Jyggalag could theoretically predict Mora's next action and do the opposite, or know that Mora knows he would do the opposite, thus, choosing to make the original move, which would make him unpredictable to Mora.
With all that in mind, why do you guys think he's so insecure?
