Training gear question

Hi,

Returning player back from the release days. I don't remember anything about the game, highest was level 24 but I'm creating a new toon.

I hear one can craft training (+exp) gear. I understand it only works on kill exp, not quest exp. I intend to play the game RPG style, doing quests and so on. I'm not interested in running a zillion times the same dungeons and raids for gear. While it may be interesting to get exp faster, since I don't remember anything about the game, I'm worried that I may outlevel the content. Like in WoW or LOTRO where the exp gain in old the expansion zones is so fast that they are not worth the time, just to get everyone to the raidings asap. Heh, I was paying money in these two for trinkets that would STOP exp gain so I would not always be fighting against grey mobs.

So won't training gear in ESO ruin regular questing for a new character wanting to experience the quest content?

Thanks.

ESO no longer has levelled mobs, it was changed many years ago, you cannot out level content.

As far as training gear goes there is one set that drops and one that is crafted, Heartland Conqueror is the crafted set which can increase xp from kills.

It has to be mentioned that the difficulty of overland and quest mobs is very low anyway even a new out the box character is unlikely to struggle.
    When people say to me........
"You're going to regret that in the morning"
I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!

ESO has a level cap at 50 for the characters and from that on all exp goes into gaining Champion Points, which are accountwide.
    From Lvl50 Cp160 onward gear won't level.
And after that any progress is lateral, because you can use CP to get some bonuses, but not get significantly more powerful.

All mobs and Bosses are adjusted to content. So the perception of difficulty is based on mechanics and the abilities of the respective enemies, instead of level differential.

Regular questing is never ruined in ESO. It is designed to be not hard. Combat isn't the focus.
That is rather on the story, the dialogue and the atmosphere.
In my opinon that makes the questing in ESO superior to other MMOs, even though I have my gripes with some of the writing.
    Prost!
