Hi,

I haven't touched ESO for at least 5 years or so but want to get back into it, with a fresh new toon this time around.

In Elder scrolls games I like to be stealth/bow/dagger kinda builds. Which would you recommend for this type of play style? Also any tips for basically a new person that would be great!

    Welcome back o/

Dagger/bow is still strong, though there might be slightly better options than bow towards endgame depending on your build. Daggers are great on almost any character, though.

There's not really new thieving content, but they added some sneak/crime-based Champion Point passives as well as a Mythic item (one-piece unique item) for sneaking: The Shadow Queen's Cowl.

And starting in June, you can subclass on any character, which means you can replace one of your class skill lines with any other class skill line that you don't have yet on that character, up to twice. So your sneaky nightblade could pick up sorcerer's Surge to be more survivable, or you can add nightblade invisibility to any class that you like, for example. You can be a necromancer sniper who uses blastbones and snipe at the same time (can recommend), but on a nightblade.

They also hybridized skills, so you if you're a stamina character, you can use magicka skills for full damage.

Ultimately, if you like that playstyle, you might like a stamina-based nightblade with daggers/bow or bow/bow. You can get into lategame with that character if you're interested in building for endgame DPS later on.

You can even get a cool Vault skill for bow that launches you away from a target, via Scribing, which is like a mini-spellcrafting, also coming to the basegame in June (until June, only for players with Gold Road). My sneaky character uses Elemental Explosion from Scribing, which has a two-second cast time for huge AoE damage, making it kind of like a magey snipe in my head.

Anyway, have fun, lots of smaller quality-of-life updates that you might notice (check out the Armory system to save builds or Set Collections to re-build dropped sets that you've bound to your account).
