Oblivion set

Is this Sorc set Beacon of Oblivion from infinite archive any good?
Also I struggle with 2 bar builds, I'm not sure what I'm not wrapping around my head when it comes to 2 bar builds.
But everything I've come up with is weak sauce! I'm pretty sure it's a Buff situation.
I also struggle with understanding when direct damage applies to abilities;
Any advice from knowledgeable players would be appreciated.

As far as I know, not really. If you can describe or show your build we might be able to help. Generally, you want ground AoE DoTs and buffs on your backbar and single target DoTs, spammable, and damage boosting bar buffers on your frontbar. This way, you stay on frontbar until you see that your backbar abilities are running out of time, then swap and reapply the ones closest to running out. I try to apply skills with similar uptimes right after each other to keep things simpler. Theres a setting that lets you see a bar showing when your backbar abilities are running out, though addons do a better job.

I was working on a build other than mag sorc. or heavy attack.
So I guess Im theory crafting.
I want a 2 bar build for a change I was trying the oblivion set but what im doing with it is CRAP!
Possibly the set is just crap for DPS.
And I just dont understand what is or is not Direct Damage for a Sorc?
Do sorcs even need that champion point buff?

Not every build needs the CP for direct damage, no. What skills are you running? I can tell you if you’re doing a lot of direct damage or not.
Generally, also, you want to run monster set or mythic, front bar proc set, body stat set, backbar arena weapon, and one of your sets should be from a trial. But there are deviations from this rule. Such as but not limited to bodying a proc set or using arena frontbar weapons.

But like I stated its a crap build. I was just trying *** that looked good to me But POOP!

Ahh, is this for PvP? I don’t know much about PvP so can’t really help there, but yes almost all of your damage is direct damage so you would benefit from the direct damage CP as well as single target CP. AoE and DoT CP looks less useful for you with these skills.

Kinda Hybid PVE PVP mainly PVP but like i stated its poop. TY for clearing up Direct damage for me

I’m working on collecting the set to test it, but it doesn’t look good to me. My friends don’t even see a point in collecting it they say it looks so bad. When I crunch up a build on the eso build editor, it’s weaker than any builds I currently run in pvp. I’m thinking they need to buff the damage/healing done by 3% in pvp and give it one additional
line of magic to make it just slightly better than a Crafty Alfiq build.

I have tried it and think it is not worth for PvP with the 5% tooltip both for DD and Healer builds. At 8/8% maybe I will look at this set again. In PvE it can be a good non-pet alternative for DD builds with 15% tooltip, that is the only use case I have found.

I use this in my mk stam sorc trash build when I have trial hm run
