Can we please get some comment on DLC HM pledge transmute rewards?

Previously the HM DLC pledge dropped a blue crystal worth 5 gems every time; now it drops a puple 'uncracked' geode that's kind of like the gold uncracked geodes (worthless) the golds can drop 4 to 25 crystals... out of the probably hundreds of these that I've opened, the average is like 4.1 crystals... kinda weird when it's supposed to be a step up from the 10 crystal geodes. But now with the pledge rework, that was supposed to make pledges more rewarding.. we get uncracked purples.. I just did a set of pledges to help a guildie farm some keys, had a previous DLC HM to turn in and then did the new one... my crystals from the 'new and improved' rewards? 2 crystals and 3... TWO DLC HM pledges gave the same crystal reward as a SINGLE base game HM... yeah, the extra keys are nice, but when you already have all the monster shoulders the real reward is crystals, this change makes it *LESS* incentivizing to do the HM pledges, not more...

I did a search prior to making this post, and while there are some discussions on the subject, there has not been so much as an acknowledgement of the issue from ZOS... @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_Kevin can we at least get a statement as to whether this is working as intended? Or is this a bug and I should hold on to the uncracked crystals til it's fixed?

Why the heck do they have to make crystals so hard to get. For those of us without full sticker books it's just sheer hell.

Sticker book will have been out for four years when the new chapter releases.

Probably too late to do anything before that but Q3 would be an excellent time to lift the 500/1k restriction on storing transmutes and to substantially increase the reward from all current sources.

It’s so strange, the keys were increased but the most valuable reward (at least for those who’ve been running dungeons a while), the transmutes, were decreased. :/

Why would you do hm pledge for crystals?

    18 accounts * 10 random dungrons speed run = 180 crystal a day.

I really do not enjoy speedrunning easy dungeons. You’re right that reward for random is best — I usually queue random vet and hope it will be a fun one — sometimes it’s a disaster, but hey, that’s the chances and I’ve had a lot of fun that way too.

I wasn’t meaning that anyone farms hm dlc pledges for crystals, just that the rewards used to be somewhat commensurate with the difficulty and ZOS made the key portion more so and the transmute crystals less so. That’s all.

They tripled the sources of transmutes and the values you got from various content when stickerbook released.

I just started up again in August and the collection didn't exist 9 years ago so I'm still filling mine. For most trial sets it's cheaper for me to transmute than reconstruct, but since I was told decon everything and recon later....

Yes, ZOS, more crystals for HMs and DLC HMs please! Many of us prefer to do something more challenging than a series of RNDs and some of my friends only have one character and just don't want more so for such people every source of transmutes counts and it's unfair that DLC HMs don't yield many more transmutes than RNDs.

Sure, I can speedrun RNDs for transmutes... but that's not nearly as much fun.

I like running the DLC HMs, and liked the move towards better rewards on these pledges, to get more people doing them, but what got implemented isn't really doing that... the people who *really* need keys are new players trying to get monster sets, whereas the people who would really appreciate the extra transmutes more would be the more experienced players, and those are the ones that need more incentives to run those pledges.

Because 10+ dungeons a day has as much appeal as hitting my toes with a hammer. 18 dungeons would just be my own personal layer of hell.

    Plus I enjoy HMs

Yet some players - specially those in support roles who generally require the greatest amounts of gear, often carrying sets in multiple traits to adjust for different encounters - still struggle to source enough of them.

Furthermore they have stated on multiple occasions that they are constantly looking at relieving the burden of inventory management without increasing inventory space (latest example, allowing - thanks Z'en - sieges to stack, which was impossible until the precise moment when it wasn't [impossible] anymore) and many... not well received austerity measures changes have been/will soon be implemented in the quest to 'relieve database strain and improve efficiency'.

Removing the arbitrary cap on transmute crystals would achieve both goals, it would decrease the number of entries in the database and reduce inventory management as players offload sizeable amounts of reconstructed gear that exists only as means of not wasting crystals.

Yes, I hardly ever use my Transmute Crystals, but I also don't want to lose them, so I reconstruct gear just to store them on an alt. I actually cringe whenever I get TCs in any reward coffers, because I might end up having to go reconstruct some gear and move it to my designated "TC mule" alt. Removing the cap would be a big help. I don't know how difficult a change that would be, but as long as players are storing excess TCs in the form of reconstructed gear anyway, it kind of makes the cap irrelevant in the sense that it's being gotten around-- so, why not remove the cap, since it isn't actually accomplishing anything besides making players' lives more miserable by adding more to their inventory management woes?

It would be so nice to be able to farm transmutes through pledeges.

Because after doing the Daily Random Veteran on 20 characters then I have nothing else to do... But that is irrelevant...

This has been bugged for over a month and needs to get fixed! I guarantee if Crafting Writ rewards were bugged then it would get fixed asap!

So is this what's killing normal randoms? No wonder we have such a problem with speedrunners! That's insane!

Best source of transmutes is random normal.

But that in turn makes the random normal slightly hostile to newer / RPG players (hence all the "fake tank" threads in forums).

As I saw from another discussion:

Add single-player friendly sources of transmutes (daily overland quests for example).

    Some other suggestions:

Add a way to gain more transmutes faster. (e.g. 10+ transmutes for every vet arena clear, vet trial clear, or vet DLC dungeon HM - more effort should equal more reward)

Remove the transmute limit, or increase to some very high number (999,999 for example) - why the artificial limit at such a (relatively) low number, when it takes between 200 and 600 transmutes to reconstruct ONE build, depending on how many pieces of an armour set you have unlocked.

Make farming gear more streamlined. The addition of the stickerbook was a big step in the right direction, but for some builds, thanks to RNG you might end up having to run a dungeon/trial FORTY FIVE TIMES to get the one weapon you could have got on your first run - this leads to the (in my opinion, rather toxic) behaviour of people selling "guaranteed" drops for ludicrous sums of money (e.g pillar of nirn daggers, master resto staff etc).
Solution: add a way to choose your first 3 weapons from any collection (have dungeon quest grant a token that can be traded for weapon maybe?)

Add an in-game way to test builds without having to waste transmutes (yes I know many people use the PTS for this purpose, but that's exactly my point - that's NOT part of the vanilla game, that function is present only on an experimental version of the game) adding this alongside the scribing system would be really good for the base game. While present in this "testing arena" you have all attribute points + skills + morphs + curses + gear sets + mundus available to choose from and change at will - purpose is to make theory-crafting more accessible to more players (and not just spreadsheet junkies :D )
