I've gotten something similar to what @Seravi has described, though only rarely and intermittently, only on one machine, and it's not exclusive to this patch. The game client is hanging on something (not sure what, because it happens only intermittently) when the process is cleaning up for exit. Normally if something like this happens, I'd use Microsoft's procmon to monitor what the process is doing so that I can diagnose the issue myself, but I can't do that because ZOS has foolishly added in "protections" that cause the game to forcibly terminate if it detects procexp or procmon running. (But that's an angry rant for another day.)
It only happens on the one machine that I have with an nvidia gpu, not on the machines with amd gpus, but that could just be coincidence and may not be related.
@delta_mystic is experiencing a different issue, almost certainly caused by an addon. The inability to access the in-game UI to exit is actually very different than being able to access the exit UI, but then have the exit itself hang the process. I suggest that @delta_mystic disable addons until they find the culprit, and they should also disable BugCatcher, since that addon is most likely the reason they are running into an addon-related Lua error but not seeing an error message that would've alerted them to the nature of the error.
