    Bismuth Steam Baths:
Very happy that this is earnable, I will definitely go for it right away. BEAUTIFUL exterior and bath area! But they are so far apart, with a lot of Altmer interior in between that doesn't excite me. With only 600 slots we are basically forced to choose which to use.
    dlozqmu4ypjr.png

I know the house won't be changed at this point, but this is one of many situations where in-house portals would be extremely useful. Both to port directly to where you build from outside the house (set a new entrance), and secondary ones to go between areas without wasting slots on reskinning unused areas.

Solstice Bismuth, Large Tower – furnishing with lighting effects:
This is fantastic! I also really loved the similar scattered light from world Mirrormoor crystals which are not present in the furnishing versions. Please, more like this. Small, hide-able lighting items that create these scattered light vfx would be awesome.

    Inert Portal furnishing:
Love the portal, but unfortunate that it's 2D. Could it not have some dimension to it like similar items do? For example the Cursed Curio Aether from the Order of the Lamp Crate is a similar disc but with some volume.
    op93b8l5ta6s.png
    21sd7vasme7d.png

    Home Goods vendor landscaping items:
The new plants, trees, and HUGE rocks are wonderful! Great foliage textures and modeling – I love that they have nice areas of light and dark to create shapes and contrast in landscaping, and can work as bush-like ground cover as well. Seriously bravo to the plant modelers!

Would love to get even more of these enormous rocks and zone plants in the next update. And the grass – more ground-cover like that please.

The only thing that's a bit strange is how unnaturally saturated some plants have become since West Weald; they don't always fit too well with older assets, as you can see here:

    efiefr7zrml0.png
(Granted I do use a ReShade, but they are still very saturated even without.)

    Edit:
Here's a better comparison of what I mean by oversaturated (Sunport foliage on the left, vs a lot of older assets on the right). The greens are nearly neon. This was true of the oak tree from West Weald also. Unfortunately (and depending on your monitor calibration) this is less noticeable in the compressed image here on the forums, but the difference is jarring in-game.
    lxnbbaix7agt.png

    Sunport Fountain Spout:
Useful; will be a popular item!

Reward items from harvesting, etc: :(
Afraid this is Vvardenfell 2.0. I've now scoured the whole island: nodes are so sparse and drops are... zero. These plants, flowers and other items would be great to use; it's frustrating that they instead become collectors' items with silly price tags. Please don't make these too rare to bother with.

Actually, I enjoyed Scuttlebloom hunting in Murkmire and the current drop rates of those are NOT so bad. I would love to see harvestable creature-plants like that again.

    ay42hnhjn11h.jpg

    Achievement items:
    • Icons look great, it's a shame that they released bugged with missing textures – all black. Known bug.
    • Some antiquities come from Treasure Maps again: that's a shame. I haven't even unlocked some West Weald ones I liked because maps are too hard to come by and too expensive to be worth it.

    Wishlist:
    • I'm sure they are coming in future updates, but I hope to see many Argonian stone walls, platforms and structures! Those assets are great! The Stone-nest totems are cool, hope to see lots of matching stuff.
    • The new green glass lamps are pretty, just overly bright and wish there was an option without coral. If we could have brightness and color control of lighting someday, that would be amazing!

    Great update for housing!

Theater of the Ancients - this certainly stands out the most. Congratulations, maybe a raise, to those involved in this project!
The idea is great, a theater somewhere between worlds, like between reality and imagination.

What I like about it: all the interactable parts. I hope we will see more of these in the future, or be able to create our own. The switches are already in the game. There are so many people who want switches to turn on/off the lights, water, doors, you name it.
What I don't like so much, is how long you have to run to the theatre part. The outer part is great, and some people might use it for different projects (like I plan to build a clockwork/dwemer spaceship for years), but running to the stage will get boring fast.
Since you already have a portal (inert) furnishing - it will be great for us to be able to set up portals inside the large housing spaces. Also, moving the entrance point would be very useful in case with places with multiple sections or very large areas.
I am sure many people will want the magic floor (the one we have also seen in Sanity's Edge).

Bismuth Steam Baths - more great Alinor/Summerset elegant architecture, and water pools? SURE!
I am quite glad for the return of the Summerset architecture. I hope this time you will fill the gaps in the furnishings table, so we can have doors, elegant railings, floors, roofs and all the fancy elements that make this style stand out!
To me the interior is a bit ruined for the original theme of the house. I would have expected the elegant and clean interior we got in the Psijic Villa. But I love all the watery elements, and hope we will get them as furnishings. The bismuth theme is cool. Someone in the dev team certainly loves minerals.

The Sloth inn room: there isn't much to say about it since it looks almost identical to the one in Alinor.
What I don't like about the inn room is that is an other room at the 1st floor that requires some hassle to get to the wayshrine.

    Speaking of wayshrines:
    1) A wayshrine furnishing would make me very happy regarding housing. There are so many houses that are far from wayshrines, and make me use them less. I know a teleport doesn't cost much, but a wayshrine teleport is faster and more convenient.
    2) The wayshrine placement in Sunport is quite odd. The city itself is hard to navigate. I am sure that I won't be doing much banking, crafting or dailies in that town.

    Furnishings:

I will start with the flowers and vines. Those are great additions, lots of housing fans will love them.
But empty planters? Please. So many years have passed over this request....
The sea themed furnishings will be great for more aquatic projects. I have an underwater base, and can't wait for June to add them.

I noticed many fruits and small provisioning items. This is really nice. However, what about the item count and furnishing limit? Just placing some lemon slices, mango and coconuts will use about 10 slots. How about some grouped furnishings, like you did with the Colovian foods?

Still no weapon racks or armor manequins.

I guess the structural furnishings will come in a later update. What I always find missing in the structural category, are the interior arches for passages and ceilings. I hope you won't forget about the windows this time too.

    Thanks for this refreshing mini-chapter!

I am getting three all-black items in the Achievement Vendor store, but the planter shows up fine for me.

Theater of the Ancients - Not my type of house but from what I did see the lighting in this house is way to dark, nothing really stands out, its just drab.

Bismuth Steam Baths - I liked it at first but then I realized we are getting less island than what the map shows us, theres tons of area right and left of the boat that we can not access, limiting what we can build and flat land.
600 slot home is a down side as well, considering most of the islands we've gotten as homes have been 700 slots. please rethink this. The steam in the off shoot rooms should be moveable as it would interfere with builds.

The Sloth inn room: its alinor room 2.0

I have a question about the Furniture Vault - how will it work if you have ESO+ and then drop it after? Will it work in the same way as the crafting bag where you can withdraw but no longer deposit?

    (I can't test this - I have ESO+ all the time :D )

    Thank you!

I really like both the houses so far they are great, but I was wondering if the steam could be turned on and off in the Bismuth Baths? I have been hoping for a house with this style for a long time but I do not want to use it as a bath.
    That is my only suggestion.
    Thank you :)

I think the Sloth Inn Room is a missed opportunity. I wish it had been in an Argonian style instead. As others have said, we have almost exactly the same room in Alinor already. I've been wishing for a small/medium home in one of the Murkmire styles since it came out and was really excited at the possibility when Solstice was announced. Sadly, I'm disappointed.

    Houses:

Theater of the Ancients - Not my type of house, may be it can be used as guild house but I do now own a guild.

Bismuth Steam Bath - I have 2 issues with this one. 1st - walls are filled with alcoves and semi-columns, so practically no decor fits properly. 2nd, there are no windows and because of issue #1 it can not be fixed by using crafted windows. Skipping it as well.

Sloth inn room - I have no interest in rooms.

    Furnishings:

I like additional flowers, trees and vines available from NPC furnisher merchants.
When it comes to crafted furnishings, additional bunches (Lychee, Green coconut) are nice but Lime Slice? With the harsh furnishing slots limit it is extremely impractical to use those.
Crafted Sunport items are beautiful but there are so few of them. Tide-born are cheap looking yet there are so many of them, skipping those. Speaking about beautiful items, these ones are still missing from Update 44.

Just for myself, hearing that the Sloth Inn Room is Alinor Inn Room 2.0 is great because I decorated the one in Alinor to be a mini Psijic library but i’ve always wanted another one in that style to decorate as a regular inn room. Also, if that in room is in a building that looks like it would normally have been an Eleanor, it would be funny if it looked any different. But I too would love an inn room in an Argonian style as long as it’s inside in an Argonian building.

As usual great job with the houses!
The introduced houses are extremly beautiful and original.

The new furnishings are beautiful especially the bismuth crystals. I wish for some sort of akivement or reward for collecting all skematics tough.
A similar argument can be made for the master crafting stations. A crafter should be rewarded for making such an huge investment instead at the moment since everyone can have access to the crafting stations there is no reward.
Maybe the original owner should get a discount on materials when crafting in his own house?

_I wish for the addition of the ability to start and deliver daily quests in your main house.
I know you fear depopulation in the cities but all players go in the same 2 to craft anyway and this addition would help to make your house feel like your in game house since it will become the place where you return every day to start or end your game session.

_I wish for the addition of more small houses. This may be a controversial opinion but decorating a huge one require a lot of investment and time so alternating it with some cozy small sized houses here and there would be good.

_I wish for the return of old furnishings distributed in old events like the "Dragon rise" one.
In 11 years is impossible to never have missed one event for real life unavoidable reasons and forever being locked out of useful furnishings like the "Dragon treasure trove" or the "Bone goliath target dummy" feel like walking with a small rock in your shoes.

This is more feedback on antiquity-locked furnishings; I thought it made more sense as its own thread but I'm linking it here because part of it is feedback that may be relevant here:

I also missed that treasure, dummy, and at least one cool Elsweyr statue – so, agree! Please give us another chance at those. (Although it's not related to Solstice).

What are your general thoughts on new houses?
    Theater of the Ancients:
Well to be honest, this house with the modern day stage curtain and lights feels absolutely out of touch with the lore so I hate it! Sorry. It's a fun idea but it does not fit into a "The Elder Scrolls" game. At least not like this...
On top the entrance is at the location of Morahame that is part of the TES4 Oblivion map. These changes look nothing like the original spot that I just visited in the TES4 Oblivion Remaster. Please redo the entrance or simply put it somewhere else. Like the new isle.

    Bismuth Steam Baths:
These are actually pretty nice! Really like them. Lovely beach! Nice pools. Got a few ideas what you can do with it. And it is a gold purchase! Love it!

    Sleepy Sloth Inn Room
Well it is just the same inn room as we have it in Alinor, just with the door on the other side and an additional window. It will work as a port point but other than that I do not see any use case. You can put almost no furniture inside, so it's kind of pointless.

What do you think of the new furnishings?
Well I like the new food! As well as the new painting tools, plants and the wall fountain. But it seems like we will get rather few furnishing this time as well. Got to love the new fruits for the kitchen and the palm trees!

Do you have any other general feedback?
Well this is not the big thing that is currently needed from my point of few.

Lately I wanted to get more into home furnishing and unfortunately a lot of furnishings are antiquities. And collecting them is just not fun at all, but pure pain. I literally spent hours killing the same delve boss over and over and waiting for it respawn.
Given how many players complain about it how often, can you please finally address these bad lead drop rates.
And there is no other way to get the antiquity furnishings either. You can't trade them, you can't buy them (with crowns), you just have to go through this pain.

Please just give us 100% antiquity lead drop rates.

Yes this sounds easy, but it would actually be fun and fit a life with a job much better. And you still get to partake in various activities like killing world bosses.

You always say "play as you want". Well I just want to do some furnishing these days and certainly not spent hours waiting for a delve boss to respawn. This is not fun. Games are supposed to be fun. So for now I'm off for another game that is fun until these drop rates finally get fixed.

I disagree on this. The game needs rare items since it's about collecting. Recently zos changed the drop rate for "banner of the sixt house" and many collectors complained having wasted an insane amount of time and money and some stopped their collection and started playing less feeling betrayed.

An item should be always accessible putting in an equivalen amount of effort but rare items must exist too for players that like collecting.
A house can immediatly feel special if you have a rare furnishing inside.
And yes it's a pain to collect them but for some that's the point.

This boat seems to still have a blackened end on it, even though this mornings PTS notes state:

There should be a "pity counter", so if you constantly fail to get a drop, your odds should increase. Also, the odds should be better if you are returning after a while, like a little welcome back (to the game or to the area). I haven't completed the High Isle woodcrafting station yet.

I don't like collecting any fragments because it's a very typical and annoying MMO method of keeping players busy with stuff they don't like doing. I am talking mainly about antiquities. None is happy farming fragments. But a change I would like to see is to get better chances of finding the reminding fragments/components with each discovered fragment. Anyway, to me these are fine tuning issues.
    * * *

Before this update, I think devs should really consider where they want to go with housing. Right now there are many many houses, so I am not sure more houses are a priority.
    - The main issue is slots.
    - The 2nd main issue in my opinion is lack of functionality. This has been improved with Housing Tours, making houses more visible, so the main function right now is to showcase creativity. But this can be improved with adding more things to do in a custom player space, and I see the devs are trying to do something in this direction with the Theater furnishings/house.
    - The 3rd issue for me is how furnishing creation is spread through all sorts of confusing categories over each crafting station. The interface should be updated in the direction of the master crafting station UI. Players should be able to craft furnishings from any crafting station or have a new special station for furnishings, which can work as a catalogue as well.

I really hope to see more interaction, like teleports (inside wayshrine/doors/portals/grappling hook), so people could build up or use remote parts of those very large housing spaces, like the Lighthouse island or Ayleid ruin. I also wish to be able to do the crafting dailies and writs inside a house, even though this could be limited to a guild house, which is also a thing many people are asking. Linking houses with portals, like in the EHT addon should be in the base game.

Increasing slots should really be a priority. There is no need to make a flat upgrade for everyone. Just add the upgrade option, via gold or crowns. Increasing the special categories limit is also due, and this requires no investment.
